Sickday’s neighborhood service is a new pilot house call program aimed at helping vulnerable New Yorkers access quality medical care at their home or office. It mimics Sickday’s on-demand service but lowers the cost dramatically for vulnerable patient populations. BACK
The pilot program is operating now in Chelsea. We hope to expand the service to all Manhattan neighborhoods over time. BACK
Sickday’s neighborhood service is available by online appointment only and is exclusively for New Yorkers who are uninsured, under-insured or unemployed and costs $75 per visit. Our on-demand service is available to everyone including travelers and costs $250 per visit. BACK
Sickday’s on-demand service is staffed to handle an unknown number of patients in any given hour and must be able to get to each patient within ninety minutes of their call. The neighborhood service is staffed to handle a fixed number of patients at fixed hours allowing for cost efficiencies we can pass on to patients. In addition, Sickday uses its profits to help subsidize the neighborhood care. BACK
Sickday’s neighborhood service is for uninsured, under-insured and unemployed New Yorkers. Sickday believes everyone should have access to quality affordable care and our neighborhood service allows us to extend our availability to many who might otherwise forgo care due to high costs or lack of access. Sickday does not support price gouging to take advantage of the uninsured, it doesn’t do anything to improve the health of the community at large. BACK
Typically the under-insured are those who face high deductibles that leave them as vulnerable to price gouging as the uninsured or they simply lack access to quality care for unreasonable amounts of time. BACK
We treat most non-emergency medical conditions; for a complete list, please see our list of Conditions Treated or call us at (212) 327-1900. BACK
Sickday is not an emergency room replacement, and we do not treat patients experiencing chest pains, shortness of breath, or head trauma as these may require immediate hospitalization. If you are having a medical emergency, please go to the emergency room or dial 911 immediately. BACK
Sickday medical practitioners will treat patients age 3 and older. BACK
